Many classic foods and recipes have been updated so that the original is barely recognizable. Thankfully, I have my Grandmother’s original recipe for Watermelon Rind Preserves. Thanks to the #NoWaste movement and mindset they are being rediscovered for the delicious preserve they are.
The rind contains many health – promoting and blood – building chlorphyll and the amino acid citrrulline. Citrrulline is important for the heart and immune system.
